We have spaces available on several self-directed online wellbeing programmes in 2024 – perfect for building up a coping toolbox for your day-to-day life.
The award-winning Hope Programme, run in partnership with social enterprise Hope for the Community, is specifically designed to support the overall wellbeing of our beneficiaries – and you can remain anonymous throughout.
The free, six-week online self-management programme helps participants to feel more in control and more resilient. Each week it covers topics like: managing stress, smarter goal setting, gratitude, character strengths, physical activity, eating well, coping with fatigue, practicing mindfulness, communication and relationships.
The programmes, the majority of which are open to all beneficiaries, include quizzes, worksheets, audio and video materials, interactive activities and social networking via email and forums. Participants are supported throughout by trained facilitators.
The programmes can be accessed from PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone and can be taken entirely at your own pace.
Ideally suited to those living with stress and anxiety, we have places available on each programme for over 18s, with the following dates available to sign up to now:
Programme for all beneficiaries:
- 11 April – 2 programmes

- 5 June 24 (aimed specifically for those who are approaching retirement or recently retired)

Below you can read a few letters of encouragement and advice from past Hope attendees:
Claire: “I know you may be apprehensive, I was too. The group and instructors soon put you at ease and make you feel you are not alone. Sharing your concerns and listening to others really does make a difference and the essential ‘tool kit’ has a positive effect on everyday life and moving forward.”
Richard: “I know you might be feeling nervous, I did too. But please try not to worry, by the end of HOPE I’m sure you will be feeling less depressed, anxious and much more positive and confident, and you will enjoy the social side with like-minded people.”
Anonymous: “Please persevere past the first week. You will feel welcomed, understood and not out of place. Everyone is so helpful and you will feel so much better. You will leave with course with life-long friends and a different perspective on life.”
Judith: “The Hope Course is a journey with a group of other people. Our group started off really quietly on the first week, but as we got to know each other, we opened up and became friends. It is a safe place where you can be you, it is a place to laugh, a place to cry and to be yourself, with people often with similar issues, willing to understand, listen and share. The facilitators are very friendly and are there to guide you on your journey with plenty of useful help and advice. I hope you get as much out of your journey on this course as I did and to believe in yourself.”
