Retired firefighter Nigel Bulmer says the help he received following a major motocross accident was instrumental in him getting mobile again – and has inspired a number of fundraising events since. Shelley Robinson, a firefighter with London Fire Brigade, has received our help twice – firstly amid difficulties with her mental health, and again more recently as she faced long-term symptoms of Covid-19. Thanks to your kind-hearted donations, we’ve been able to continue offering support to people like Guy Pedliham, a Station Officer with LFB, who’s been helped on several occasions with his physical and mental health. LFB firefighter Sarah King recently returned to work more than a year after getting Covid-19. She attended our Covid Recovery Programme, as her symptoms continued, and says it helped make her return a reality. A group of men have set up a walking group that meets every week and encourages anyone joining to discuss any concerns or struggles they’re going through – before signposting anyone that needs further support to us.
