Naomi Parton-Smith is running the 2022 London Marathon for us as a thank you for the mental health support we’ve offered her partner, Jeff. Thanks to your donations, we were able to help him find the tools he needed to aid his recovery. Mark Trudgill, a firefighter with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, received support for his mental health after his son tragically took his own life in prison. He’s now spreading the word about how your donations make such a huge difference. Steve Bartlett, his brother, their father and their uncle have all worked as on-call firefighters at the same station, now and in the past – and Steve says we’ve supported them throughout most of that time. Maria Smith’s husband, Rusty – who was an on-call firefighter for 31 years – passed away suddenly in May 2019. She’s now running the London Marathon in aid of us as a tribute to him and his colleagues. Helen’s life completely changed in 2019 when her firefighter partner, Paul, was left needing 24-hour care following a horrific assault. She says, thanks to your donations, she’s been able to access vital support since.
