Jim Sutherland built his own bike from old parts and cycled from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in aid of us in August, as a thanks for the support his wife received following a shoulder injury and cancer diagnosis. Retained firefighter Richard Bowman has completed a gruelling 24-hour mountain bike ride through the Scottish Highlands to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity. Here he explains why he wanted to say thank you in this way.
