New Year’s Honours 2024: fire family recognised
His Majesty King Charles III has recognised members of our fire services community in the 2024 New Year's Honours list.
His Majesty King Charles III has recognised members of our fire services community in the 2024 New Year's Honours list. Our annual January clothes recycling competition is back for another year. Can your fire station be the best in your service and even in your region? You’ve made our 80th year one to remember, with challenges, events, parties and so much more – all while raising thousands for us. Thank you to all of you. Lancashire on-call firefighter, Glen Bailey, spent 24 hours continuously lifting weights in a gym to raise funds for us. David Gill set himself the challenge of running 8 miles every day for eight years, before upping it to match the length of the equator – an incredible 24,901 miles.
