On Sunday, 53-year-old Carol Lord will swim the 23-mile length of Loch Lomond in memory of her Fire Officer father. A retired Chief Fire Officer who served with Highlands and Islands Fire Service has completed a 4,300 mile bike ride across America to raise funds.
It’s a family effort for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Media Officer and Charity Volunteer, Susan Kerr, as her children Brody and Emily are taking part in the #My75Miles challenge too. To say thank you for the support she received in 2004, Watch Manager Karla Stevenson is taking part in the #My75Miles challenge. Retired Station Manager, Brian Fyfe, is currently embarking on a 40-day trek from the South to the North of Scotland along the Scottish National Trail.
